50 Gallon Reef Updates

Stand Construction Completed
Finished the stand construction. Still need to build the hood and then stain and poly them both.

Picked up the 50 gallon
I picked up my tank from Christian today. I'm very happy with the quality of construction. Next step is to make some room in my garage so I can build the stand. I've almost completed the other furniture for the room the tank is going in, so I should be able to start building next weekend.

I've also placed an order with him for my Iwaki pumps and my Euroreef skimmer, and I've setteled on a sump design that makes the best comprimise. Due to space constraints, and the desire to eventually add equipment in the stand, I've decided to use a 10 gallon sump. It will be baffled to create a main compartment to keep the water level stable for the skimmer. There will be another set of baffles for bubble control, and it will be drilled for the return pump.
